Additionally, the Finance Controller will lead our transition from QuickBooks to Sage, collaborating with internal technology and operations teams to implement automated, API-driven data integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and management of the current finance team.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a finance team of four billing clerks and a bookkeeper/controller, establishing a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage company budgets, financial forecasts, and periodic variance analyses.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial statements in line with GAAP standards for internal and external stakeholders.
- Systems Transition & Integration: Lead the transition from QuickBooks to Sage, working closely with tech teams to integrate financial systems and establish automated, API-based data flows.
- Strategic Planning: Support senior management in decision-making through financial analysis, cost management, and long-term planning.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Establish and monitor internal controls to protect company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with operations and technology teams to ensure alignment of financial processes with broader company systems.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiency improvements within the finance function through technology and process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of corporate finance experience.
- GAAP Proficiency: Solid knowledge and experience in GAAP accounting standards.
- Technology Proficiency: Advanced skills in financial and technology systems, including experience with QuickBooks and familiarity with Sage or similar ERP systems. Strong understanding of API integrations and automated data flows.
- Leadership Experience: Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a finance team.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work with cross-functional teams, including technology and operations.
- Growth Potential: Ambitious, motivated to own the finance department, and eager to grow into a CFO-type role as RMS continues to expand.
