Trolley is growing quickly and we are hiring for a full time Financial Controller to join our Finance team. The chosen candidate will be reporting to the CFO.

What you will be doing:
  • Financial oversight; Overseeing all accounting operations (including A/R, A/P, Revenue Recognition, Intercompany transactions, etc.). I.e. ensure timely delivery of accurate consolidated financial statements.
  • Overseeing Cash Flow and treasury management
  • Leading financial audits and overseeing the entire year end processes
  • Assist the CFO with the budgets and financial forecasts, as well as reporting variances
  • Tax planning and compliance, including preparing tax returns for different jurisdictions ,financial regulatory reporting
  • Managing and complying with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and preparing sales tax filings (GST, QST, VAT, OSS)
  • Further developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Being the point of contact for vendors, banks and other third parties
  • Finance team leadership and development
  • Additional Controller duties & analyses to help the CFO and CEO

Who you are:
  • Must haves
    • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
    • CPA designation
    • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures within month/year-end closing procedures and preparing financial statements, in a multi-subsidiary environment
  • Bonus
    • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills (NetSuite)
    • Experience with Wagepoint and/or Paychex is an asset
  • Skillset
    • Detail oriented ( will fully own accuracy of the FS)
    • Self-driven and autonomous (reporting directly to CFO with hands off approach)
    • Well organized
    • Adaptable (start up environment, can work dynamically)
