Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join Warwick Hotels and Resorts as a Financial Controller at our Warwick Denver location. At Warwick, we recognize the importance of and truly value our hardworking team members. As Financial Controller, you will be an important part of the leadership team of the hotel.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Conduct comprehensive variance analysis and provide actionable insights to senior management.
Balance Sheet & Reconciliations:
Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are accurate and compliant with accounting standards.
Coordinate with department heads to resolve discrepancies and optimize financial processes.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the development and management of detailed annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Perform in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, operational improvements, and revenue maximization initiatives.
Corporate Accounting Management:
Manage all aspects of corporate accounting functions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.
Collaborate with the corporate finance team to align property-level financial practices with overall corporate objectives.
Audit & Compliance:
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies during financial audits.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as adherence to internal accounting procedures.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Work closely with the General Manager, department heads, and corporate leadership to support strategic initiatives and operational efficiency.
Systems & Process Improvement:
Oversee the implementation and optimization of accounting software and financial reporting systems.
Identify and drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.

This position is a member of the Executive team. Generally, this is a Monday-Friday day shift position, but schedule is based on business demands and needs, so at times the need will be greater.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive financial management experience in a full-service hospitality environment, preferably in hotels of a similar size or larger.
Proven experience in preparing monthly financial statements, executing balance sheet reconciliations, and conducting detailed budgeting and forecasting activities.
Strong background in managing corporate accounting functions and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office applications; experience with hospitality-specific financial systems is an asset.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
