Job Summary:
The Financial Reporting Manger is responsible for managing the daily financial activities and functions for the company including financial reporting, budget, insurance, tax and treasury.
Job Description:
Core areas of responsibility are:
- Ensures all financial operations are compliant with governmental rules and regulations
- Forecasts and manages a cash flow that meets the needs of the company
- Provides guidance to managers in financial reporting objectives and standards to ensure accurate, compliant, and useful financial reporting is produced.
- Oversees the budget process and works with managers to produce and manage effective budgets
- Collaborate directly with relevant department personnel to gather relevant understanding and information
- Analyze and report financial information on the Company's cost of biological assets through cost accounting
- Oversee monthly variance analysis (vs. prior periods, budgets, forecast, etc.) to develop and analyze relevant performance metrics
- Assist with monthly internal financial and operational reports for senior management, Board of Directors, and financial partners
- Assist in the monthly closing process and external financial reporting based on applicable guidelines and standards
- Assist with external auditors to provide audit deliverables and explanations
- Support the Accounting Operations Team and Procurement Team
- Ad-hoc reporting and deliverables as assigned by management or the Operations Team
Skills, competences, and knowledge to perform the work
- Minimum 5 years finance experience and 3+ years of managerial experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business; CPA preferred
- Public accounting a plus; additional private industry preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong financial and accounting analytical skills with thorough knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and financial statement preparation
- Highly organized and works pro-actively and efficiently in completing deadline driven tasks to quality standards
- Individual of exceptional integrity and trust, and a team player with a positive attitude who can collaborate with all departments and levels within the Company
- Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems; Microsoft F&O experience preferred
