The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing internal and external financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations, and managing key financial processes including audits, income taxes, and capital expenditures. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership experience, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments.

This position manages two senior accountants and is responsible for their performance management and hiring.

This job operates in a professional manufacturing office and shop floor environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. This position may occasionally require extended hours and/or weekend work.

This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership experience, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments.
Essential Functions

- Plan, organize, and coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Supervise and delegate work within the accounting department, including oversight of two senior accountants.
- Conduct monthly reviews and analyses of internal P&L statements.
- Provide GL support and analysis to plant cost accountants.
- Oversee the accounting of capital and tooling projects, ensuring compliance and accuracy within the FAS fixed asset program.
- Collaborate with external public accounting firms for income tax filings and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and implement new accounting standards as necessary.
- Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures.
- Provide financial guidance to operational personnel, including plant management and engineers.
- Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements under US GAAP and IFRS.
- Oversee the preparation of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K), earnings releases, and investor materials.
- Manage the drafting and review of MD&A for SEC filings.
- Analyze and apply new and existing GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors.
- Assist in preparing Corporate Departmental annual budgets.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in financial reporting/accounting
- Prior supervisory experience
- Strong work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with all levels of the organization
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Education, Qualifications, and Experience
- CPA (or CPA track)
- Public accounting experience with SEC clients preferred
