Our team is growing and we're looking for a Design Manager with project management experience to join in our San Antonio region!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the fire sprinkler design team to deliver high-quality designs that meet project standards and requirements.
- Develop fire sprinkler system designs using AutoCAD and other design tools, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes and local regulations.
- Conduct hydraulic calculations and analysis to ensure the adequacy of water supply and system performance.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure integrated design solutions and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve design documents, shop drawings, and submittals to ensure they meet project specifications and standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the design team, addressing any challenges or questions that arise during the design process.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and advancements in fire protection systems and design software.
Qualifications
- 5+ years as a Fire Sprinkler Designer with commercial, industrial, or residential project experience.
- NICET is required- ideally Level 3
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoSPRINK, HydraCAD, etc. for design
- Strong knowledge of fire protection standards and codes, including NFPA and local regulations.
- Prior project management experience adept with communicating, scheduling, leading teams, client facing, and meeting deadlines effectively.
