Job Purpose:
The South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) is seeking an accomplished professional to oversee the Agency's Fiscal Practice division. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with Fiscal Practices Legislation (S.C. Code Ann. 59-20-90). The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, auditing, or financial compliance.
Responsibilities:
This position is located in the Office of Finance.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and professional experience in a related area, such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking.

- Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: Serve as a liaison between school districts, SCDE, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with fiscal policies. Facilitate discussions and provide strategic guidance on fiscal planning and management.
- Process Improvement and Efficiency: Implement technology solutions to streamline reporting and tracking of fiscal data. Foster a culture of continuous improvement in financial operations and oversight.
