Managing a fleet of 500+ vehicles across the USA and Mexico, the Fleet Asset Manager will add value to support capital projects and business operations efficiently. Additionally, this position fosters strong relationships with contractors and suppliers to drive quality and ensure reliable outcomes.

Managing a fleet of 500+ vehicles across the USA and Mexico, the Fleet Asset Manager will add value to support capital projects and business operations efficiently. Additionally, this position fosters strong relationships with contractors and suppliers to drive quality and ensure reliable outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a team of Senior Business Analysts located in the USA and Mexico, ensuring effective collaboration and performance to support business objectives.
- Develop and enhance a comprehensive fleet management program and strategy covering light-duty vehicles (trucks, vans, sedans, etc.), asset management, standardization, maintenance, fuel management, and fleet software (tracking, safety, etc.), among other key areas.
- Develop and implement a centralized fleet governance framework, including policies and procedures that ensure consistency across various operational business units and projects. The governance will be designed based on industry best practices to drive efficiency and standardization.
- Oversee and lead the negotiation and establishment of contracts with service providers during the contract formation phase, including pricing, terms and conditions, incentives, and other key elements. This role owns the post-award contract management process, which includes developing key performance indicators, managing change orders, resolving claims, and fostering strong relationship management, among other responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent required. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience
- 8 years of previous experience in fleet/automotive asset management and/or contract management or project management required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to influence and form strong partnerships with multiple stakeholders to create optimal strategic procurement approaches, contracts and solutions.
- Ability to drive and achieve results through others by providing direction, opportunity, competence, and motivation.
- Ability to support defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
- Strong financial acumen to effectively analyze cost data and trends required to develop long-term replacement strategies.
- Knowledge of large-scale contracts, master service agreements, risk allocation, indemnification, and non-performance remedies.
- Ability to manage uncertainty and respond to rapidly changing market dynamics.
- Understanding of the fleet management business including contract methodologies for purchasing and leasing vehicles, insurance, maintenance and operations, sale of assets, and software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.).
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred.
- Convergence of Supply Chain Management (CSM) Certificate preferred.
- Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD) preferred.
- Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred.
- Supply Chain Management Certificate (CSCP) preferred.
- Bilingual in English Spanish preferred.
Other Qualifications
- Ability to travel 30% of the time within both the US and Mexico.
