Salary: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour, based on experience
Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience with assisted living / memory care residents and programming is preferred.
License / Certification: Licensed as a Registered Nurse, multi-state licensure may be required.
Work Location: In Person with the ability to travel to community locations as needed. ** Must be local to the Washington D.C. Metro Area **

Overview:
The Float RN Support Specialist offers vital operational assistance to Kensington Senior Living communities, with a focus on specific areas like clinical or administrative functions. Key duties include supporting the rollout of important initiatives, training nursing teams, implementing and tracking essential processes, resolving issues, aiding workforce development, and ensuring consistent clinical care across communities.
What will you do as the Float Registered Nurse?
- Maintains an understanding of the performance of key operational processes both at individual communities and company-wide, identifying areas for improvement.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with community Executive Directors and community Leadership Team members
- Offer direct support to KSL communities through on-site visits, virtual meetings, and various communication methods. Support will be essential during temporary absences or vacancies to maintain uninterrupted resident services throughout transitions, which may include licensure affiliation to a community.
- May serve as acting Director of Nursing Services or Wellness Nurse at KSL Communities during vacancies or as backup support.
- Partners with Clinical Community Support Specialists and support/lead ongoing onboarding and training at KSL Communities.
- Assist in supporting and improving quality assurance initiatives as defined by key clinical performance indicators.
- Maintain excellent, up to date, working knowledge of the key information systems and software utilized to support the work of the company.
- Participate in company-wide strategic initiatives as assigned.
- Supports KSL Communities by maintaining positive professional relationships with referral sources and service providers.
Qualifications:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse, multi-state licensure may be required.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience with assisted living / memory care residents and programming is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays, and the ability to travel to community locations as needed.
- Must pass a criminal background check and meet all other state-required clearances for employment.
- Demonstrate freedom from Tuberculosis by PPD/TB test or chest x-ray, documenting the absence of tuberculosis in a communicable form prior to employment.
- Pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance that adheres to the dress code.
- Adhere to company and regulatory requirements for vaccination against communicable diseases.
