Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School are seeking a highly qualified and fellowship-trained orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon to be employed by their faculty affiliate Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians. As a faculty member of major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, the selected candidate will be actively involved in teaching and research in addition to clinical duties. The Division of Foot and Ankle Surgery in Orthopedics has been an innovator at BIDMC including introducing a dedicated cooperative and comprehensive foot and ankle care center with our podiatric surgeon colleagues at the Foot and Ankle Center, the use of high energy ultrasound for plantar faciatis, minimally evasive foot and ankle surgery, and total ankle replacement and introducing hand held x-ray to expedite patient diagnosis and care.
Candidates must have completed an accredited orthopedic residency training program, be board certified/board eligible, and be eligible for licensure in Massachusetts. Proposed academic rank at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and academic achievements.
Clinical practice will be based at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Level I trauma center in the heart of Boston's Longwood Medical Area, with additional clinical opportunities available at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's affiliated partner hospitals.
