THE POSITION

The Department of Human Services is seeking a Forensic Occupational Therapist Supervisor to add to our dedicated team of professionals. In this key role, you will oversee and coordinate the delivery of occupational therapy (OT) services to forensic psychiatric inpatients at Norristown State Hospital. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of occupational therapy interventions aimed at enhancing functional independence, promoting recovery, and reducing recidivism among individuals who have been adjudicated as incompetent to stand trial, found not guilty by reason of insanity, or are under court-ordered treatment. You will supervise a team of occupational therapists, certified occupational therapy assistants, and may also provide guidance to OT interns or support staff within the forensic service area. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with social service and rehabilitation managers, supervisors, psychiatrists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary treatment teams to ensure the delivery of coordinated, patient-centered care.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment,- 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Licensed Occupational Therapist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience as a professional licensed occupational therapist.
Special Requirement:
- You must possess a license to practice occupational therapy issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Occupational Therapy Education and Licensure.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
