The Foundation Events Specialist II leads the operational planning and execution of Festival of Trees, one of Intermountain Health Foundation's signature philanthropic events benefiting Primary Children's Hospital.
In this role, the Foundation Events Specialist II is responsible for managing all operational aspects of the event, including vendor coordination, sponsorships, budgeting, marketing support, site layout, and internal collaboration across key teams. They will work in close partnership with a counterpart overseeing volunteer-led elements of the event, including the auction, shops, and board engagement. Together, this partnership ensures a seamless, high-impact experience for attendees, donors, and volunteers.
Reporting to the Foundation Events Manager, this position also supports other regional or system events as needed throughout the year. To be successful, the ideal candidate must bring a strong background in event production and logistics, a passion for philanthropy, and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences that align with Intermountain Health Foundation's mission.
Position Details:
This role is hybrid, with a preference for two days in the office downtown Salt Lake City, and the remaining days working from home.

Essential Functions
- Lead a complex volunteer network. This includes both internal and external volunteers aligned for event success.
- In partnership with leaders and gift officers, develops and executes events strategies specifically to deliver on pipeline development and experience.
- Facilitates meetings with leadership, administrators, volunteers, and other Intermountain Health caregivers to advance the footprint of Foundation events.
- Effectively collaborate with partners that include marketing, donor stakeholders, donor relations, volunteer leaders, and vendor support.
- Sets and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and other performance metrics on an ongoing basis. Prepares and presents evaluation reports and makes recommendations for corrective action and further development of the event program.
- Firmly understands and interprets data metrics and CRM (Raiser's Edge) reports for list management, budgeting, and forecasting event outcomes.
- Understands the role of the Foundation the overall strategic plan of Intermountain Health to raise hospital priorities, programs, and achievements to provide aligned event outcomes, causes, and needs within the system.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree is verified. Plus:
- FIve years of demonstrated experience planning, managing, and executing events.
- Previous experience supervising others or leading teams or projects where results were obtained through working with others.
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated detail orientation, timeliness, and ability to work under pressure, while managing multiple projects at once, working independently and providing key informational
