You will be the FPGA Design Engineer for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC), a recognized designer, developer, and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. Our team is responsible for developing and manufacturing advanced products for military customers, including the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and NASA.
What You Will Be Doing
As a FPGA Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, debugging, and integrating processor subsystem features and interfaces in FPGA hardware for Advanced Processors. You will be working on cutting-edge technologies, supporting various domain areas such as aircraft flight command and control, air traffic control, and homeland defense. Your responsibilities will include:
Developing FPGA requirements, FPGA code development, and generation of self-checking test bench, unit test, synthesis, timing analysis, and Built-In-Test (BIT)
Designing and integrating processor subsystem features and interfaces in FPGA hardware
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including other engineering disciplines
Staying up-to-date on industry best practices and technological advancements in FPGA design and Digital Signal Processing

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or System Verilog
- Familiarity with FPGA toolsets
- Active Secret Clearance
Desired skills
- MSEE, MSCE would be a plus.
- Experience with management of Configuration Control (GitLab preferred)
- Experience in Hardware-Software Integration and Validation
- Experience with UVM
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging with board-level testing and FPGA validation
- Experience in ASIC / FPGA life cycle (architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration & test)
- Expert at programming Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA)
- Comfortable using digital oscilloscopes, power meters, and other test equipment
- Prior MFC Experience

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $93,200 - $164,450. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
