Product Manager - Immersive Experiences & AI

Subvrsive is looking for a seasoned Product Manager specializing in immersive experiences and AI to thrive in the fast-paced environment of our digital studio & agency. This isn't your typical tech company role. We want someone who can navigate the uncharted territories of XR strategy and user experience, leading the charge in crafting groundbreaking digital products for our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate is obsessed with emerging technologies, particularly VR/AR/XR and AI, possesses exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the technical landscape, including its limitations. You excel in a dynamic environment, are passionate about crafting unique, innovative experiences, and thrive on leading discovery and ideation phases.

This role will work closely with the Head of Product Strategy to support projects for some of the world's most recognizable brands.
As a Product Manager at Subvrsive, you will:
  • Lead Discovery & Ideation: Conduct user research, facilitate design thinking workshops, and competitive analyses to define product vision and strategy for immersive experiences (VR/AR/XR) incorporating AI capabilities; design and facilitate workshops.
  • Translate Vision into Strategy: Develop comprehensive digital strategies, roadmaps, and product requirements documents (PRDs) that consider both client needs and technical feasibility, including the integration of AI technologies and define quantifiable goals and key performance indicators to measure product success.
  • Champion User-Centric Design: Integrate usability studies, market analysis, and user feedback into the design process, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience within the immersive environment, enhanced by AI; serve as a subject matter expert in emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Navigate Technical Landscape: Possess a strong understanding of VR/AR/XR development platforms, tools, and limitations, as well as a solid grasp of AI principles and applications relevant to immersive experiences. Inform technical decisions and ensure alignment between creative vision and technical execution.
  • Research & Validate: Perform competitive analysis to identify market gaps, opportunities, and threats; analyze market trends and anticipate changes to navigate product lifecycles effectively; research target user pain points, unmet needs, and areas for innovation; synthesize research findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
  • Plan & Enact Strategy: Contribute to long-term strategic plans for future product lines in Gaming, AI, and Connected Packaging; assist in developing go-to-market strategies for new products and features; identify and assess potential risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed; validate product concepts through experimentation and user feedback analysis
  • Explore AI Integration: Identify opportunities to leverage AI technologies (e.g., natural language processing, computer vision, machine learning) to enhance immersive experiences and create innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with engineering, production, UX, creative, and QA teams to bring immersive experiences to life, from concept to launch, incorporating AI elements effectively.
  • Manage & Prioritize: Oversee the product backlog, prioritize features based on strategic value and resource availability, and manage project timelines and budgets, accounting for AI development complexities.
  • Present & Communicate: Effectively communicate strategic recommendations and product updates to clients and internal stakeholders, clearly articulating the value proposition of AI integration.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in digital strategy, product management, or UX design, with a focus on immersive technologies (VR/AR/XR) and demonstrable experience with AI integration.
  • Proven experience leading discovery phases, conducting user research, and facilitating design thinking workshops.
  • Strong understanding of VR/AR/XR development pipelines, technical limitations, and emerging trends, coupled with a solid grasp of AI principles and their application in immersive contexts.
  • Experience working in a creative agency or studio environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field is a plus.
