Front-End Developer

Role and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using Vue.js.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback via Pull Requests (PRs).
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Abide by all obligations under HIPAA related to Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • If a HIPAA violation is discovered, whether individually or by another, you must report the violation to the Compliance Officer and/or Human Resources.
  • Attend, complete, and demonstrate competency in all required HIPAA Training offered by the company.

Required Skills and Competencies
  • Proven experience with Vue.js and its core principles.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end with back-end services.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, npm).
  • Strong understanding of version control systems, specifically Git.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting and managing PRs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior developers.
  • Ability to communicate at all management levels within an organization, including internal, customers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Ability to communicate with outside vendors and their technical teams to create shared solutions for business problems.

Supervisory Responsibility

No supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
  • Full-time, salary/exempt position.
  • Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PM CT. We cover clients from West to East Coast, work times must be adjusted to cover meetings in all time zones. Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays pursuant with industry demands.

Travel

Minimal travel expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in front-end development.
  • Six years of development experience
  • Direct experience in the healthcare or finance fields, especially in the management of self-funded medical benefit plans or healthcare provider connectivity
  • Working knowledge of MediSpan drug data

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Experience with other JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular).
  • Knowledge of server-side rendering and its benefits.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of prescription claim electronic data interchange along with the overall reimbursement cycle for pharmacies.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management, especially around adjudication, formularies, and pricing is a significant plus.
