Frontend Software Engineer

Our client, an industry leader in the Media and Entertainment space is looking to bring on a Software Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the contribution, development, and maintenance of various websites for overall new feature development for the organizations Digital Product Development Team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, technical aptitude and problem-solving abilities, and wish to further their expertise in software design and web development. The candidate should be well-versed in their field and help support the team strategically in achieving our goals.

Major Responsibilities:

• Make large developmental contributions to fully functional websites based on business requirements and design specs
• Follow coding standards, workflow processes, integrations, automations and the strategic technical direction of our league development efforts
• Perform constructive code reviews and collaborate in larger architecture and design discussions
• Work closely with team members to provide support and ensure success of key initiatives by having well-planned and balanced objectives
• Respond to, isolate and resolve programming problems

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• 2+ years of experience building highly available / scalable websites or equivalent front-end focused work
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JavaScript Frameworks (i.e. React JS, Vue, etc.)
• Understanding of web server technologies (i.e. Apache) and web proxies (i.e. Varnish) Understanding of Amazon Web Services inclusive of Lambda, S3 and other micro-services
• Strong communication skills both across several teams and within one's internal team
