Position Summary:
Primarily responsible for translating and implementing business requirements and functional specifications into software solutions, for developing, configuring or modifying integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions, and for facilitating the implementation and maintenance of software solutions.
The primary focus for this position will be supporting the core financial systems.

Position Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Software Application Development
- Design, develop, and plan for solutions and technology standards to meet business requirements.
- Perform feasibility studies and establish standards. Write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
- Hands-on development. Write programs/scripts to enhance functionality of new/existing applications.
- Support and troubleshoot software and systems. Optimize performance, resolve problems, and provide follow-up on issues.
- Ensure that systems are properly integrated.
- Ensure that the technical solutions meet the customers' business goals.
- Develop code that can be secure using the principles of least privilege. Every module (such as a process, a user, or a program, depending on the subject) must be able to access only the information and resources that are necessary for its legitimate purpose.
- Work with business units and IT teams on recommend system enhancements.
- Serve as a resource for technology/project development review and technical assessments.
- Provide consultation and technical leadership in project life cycle planning. Ensure consistency and coherence to the enterprise standards and guiding principles throughout the application lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to leverage/influence the direction for existing infrastructure and application components.
- Provide feedback to the enterprise technology owners and Architects regarding future solution needs.
- Understands and applies the enterprise vision and strategy to the project solution while balancing tactical needs to deliver.
- Partner with various business and IT stakeholders in defining domain architecture strategy.
- Complete work assignments by applying up-to-date technology knowledge and best practices to meet deadlines.
- Support the completion of priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
- Communicate progress and information.
- Identify and recommend improvement opportunities.
- Escalate issues or risks as appropriate.
- Keep abreast of industry trends through bench-marking, participation in professional associations etc. in order to advise others of strategic technology direction.
- Pursue self-development and effective relationships with others by sharing resources, information, and knowledge with coworkers and customers.
- Collaborate with peers, end-users, vendors in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications. Participate in technical projects such as developing software programs for specified applications.
- Prepare progress reports to inform management of project status and deviation from goals. Update and maintain project status and timesheets using designated Project Management tools.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience
- B.A./B.S. degree in Computer Science or related experience and certifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a firm sense of accountability and ownership for end-to-end project life cycles. Understanding of technical design principles and experience in developing and implementing standards and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups spanning all organizational levels. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities. Ability to be flexible and work well in a high-pressure production environment with frequent priority change.
Proficient in the following:
- SQL development and optimizing complex queries
- Microsoft SQL Server or other Relational Database
- HTML, XML, JSON, JavaScript
- JSP/Java
- Web applications, development languages and web development tools.
- SOAP web services
- Windows, UNIX/AIX
Knowledge and experience of the following is a plus:
- Symitar PowerOn/PowerFrame and Symitar Productivity Suite Microapps
- Microsoft Office, Project and Visio
- ClickUp Project Management tools
