We are looking for engineers who are passionate about building business critical tools to automate away the mundane and inefficient and to enable ALKU to scale and grow.

As a Full-Stack Developer, you will work closely with a team of Product Owners, Data Analysts, and other Engineers in a fast-paced and agile development environment. You will apply a software-development mindset to solving real business problems together with your team. You will do this by designing, developing, testing, and improving our custom applications and automation. You will be a key contributor in design decisions on our technical architecture, placing an emphasis on scalability and reliability.

ALKU Engineering is a new addition to ALKU and is critical to achieving our strategic goals. We plan to promptly grow the team and the impact of our internal ecosystem of custom applications. We are looking for engineers who are comfortable working in 'startup-like' environment and acting as primary contributors to our development efforts, our team culture, and our operating methodologies.

Sample projects you could workon:
  • Build a workflow management app for our Sales teams
  • Build a consultant management application
  • Build an API interface/integration that enables cross-application functionality

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • 3+ years of experience with any combination of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node, Python, HTML, CSS
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL or MySQL server
  • Experience with unit testing and integration testing
  • Familiarity with microservices patterns

Nice tohave:
  • Experience working with AWS Lambda, serverless applications
  • Experience with API design, message queues, REST
  • Experience integrating data from different systems (using APIs, webhooks, connectors, etc.)
  • Experience building high performance cloud-based data pipelines
