Job Description
Are you passionate about functional safety and eager to take on technical challenges in the field of embedded systems? CS Group Canada is looking for a Functional Safety Manager to support the development of critical solutions based on RTOS and Hypervisors.
Your Responsibilities
- Define and implement the functional safety strategy for RTOS and Hypervisor products.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and specific requirements for automotive embedded systems.
- Lead risk analysis (HARA, FMEA, FMEDA, DFA) and propose appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with software and hardware engineering teams to integrate safety concepts from the design phase.
- Write and validate safety documentation (Safety Plan, Safety Case, Technical Safety Concept).
- Act as the key contact for clients and partners on functional safety topics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Significant experience in automotive functional safety, with expertise in ISO 26262 and its application in safety-critical software.
- Strong knowledge of RTOS and Hypervisors and their impact on functional safety.
- Experience in risk analysis and associated methods (HARA, FMEA, FMEDA, DFA).
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams (software, hardware, systems).
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Detail-oriented, rigorous, and able to provide well-structured safety justifications.
