The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to step into a role that will lead all aspects of program administration within the program's PMO. We are looking for an experienced Staffing Lead, well versed in staffing large contracts, to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. This program will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems.

Required Skills and Education

Looking for a Program Staffing Lead to join our People Operations Team in the Program Management Office (PMO). The Program Staffing Lead will independently perform a wide range of functions and tasks in a fast paced, multi-function environment, which require vision, leadership, and proficiency in developing, explaining, and supporting process implementation. A crucial component of this role would be taking the lead on staffing and people operations initiatives such as management training needs, culture and communications. Staffing Lead will be responsible for updating, analyzing staffing metrics across large IDIQ with 600+FTES.

The right candidate would play a critical role in meeting and presenting our program staffing targets through collaboration with the various functional teams and PMO partners. We are seeking candidates that are high energy, organized, motivated with excellent work ethic and enthusiasm. Creativity and agility are critical for this role! Candidate must have at least 6 years' experience; a bachelor's or master's Degrees are not required but preferred.

Responsibilities will include tasks such as:
  • Daily updates to staffing trackers (i.e., SharePoint, MS Access, or other similar tools)
  • Monthly and ad hoc reporting of staffing metrics for multiple levels of leadership (BAE and Customer) to include excel, SharePoint, Power BI and PowerPoint
  • Responsible for updating and submitting contracts deliverable for staffing data
  • Daily coordination with PMO partners (Finance, Subcontracts, Talent Acquisition and Contracts) for resource hiring, changes, charge codes, etc.
  • Responsible for coordinating, sending, overseeing new hire reporting instructions to incoming employees, BAE and Subcontractors
  • Regular communication with subcontractor and BAE partners about new hires and departing employees
  • Manage, coordinate, or lead special projects upon request such as retention initiatives, clearance sponsorship program, etc.


Required Skills and Experience
  • Must have strong MS Excel, PowerPoint, BI skills and proven ability to use the for reporting, analytics and forecasting/planning
  • Proven success working with MS office products and specifically advance skills in Excel (pivot tables, formulas)
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced high stress environment and meet competing deadlines
  • Experience working in a government contract staffing environment
  • Proven success partnering with and communicating staffing requirements with multi-level management and leadership
  • Ability to review and analyze current policy and procedures and continuously recommend areas for improvement
  • Ability to work across all key stakeholders, including internal talent acquisition and external sub-contractors, to communicate program requirements to obtain goal of meeting staffing targets and retaining program staff
  • Ability to participate in project planning and ensuring all development is properly documented
  • Must be able to manage large volumes of staffing data as well as produce and analyze metrics
  • Ability to effectively communicate findings and contribute to customer and internal briefs weekly
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor as well as a team member to collaborate for optimal solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and meet critical deadlines
  • Interest in development in the Program Management field and ability to take on new challenges and projects in order to expand current knowledge base in support of overall program success

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Experience organizing events such as networking, hiring, and retention events
  • Master Degree in related field
  • Experience working on BAE programs and a solid understanding of BAE Systems internal policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with BAE business/program review requirements
  • Familiarity with subcontracting processes and rate negotiations for teammates
