The Opportunity:

As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don't. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We're looking for an expert like you to create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.

You'll bring your analytical and strategic background to work on projects for the Joint Combatant Commands account. As a Future Technology Analyst, your research and analytical skills will bolster the execution of Department of Defense implementation guidance, as well as the development and implementation of joint doctrine, concepts, and assessments that prepare the current and future Joint Force. Your understanding of critical science issues affecting short- and long-term warfighting capabilities, status of science and technology related projects and policies, directives of higher authority, and past results, to support Joint Staff leaders and members of the Department of Defense (DOD) science and technology community on various Force Design and Force Development initiatives. You'll plan and design experimentation efforts, conduct DoD-internal and -external research community outreach, and perform tech scouting and industry research to ensure the Joint Force is equipped with the most advanced capabilities.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience with researching, writing, and providing recommendations pertaining to national security
  • Experience supporting the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, or other United States military staff
  • Knowledge of the Department of Defense and national security issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with senior military and civilian leaders
  • Ability to work across multiple lines of effort under rigid timelines
  • Ability to help manage multi-stakeholder forums and capture key outputs for senior leaders
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree


Nice If You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience working in a professional environment
  • Experience with GCC operations
  • Experience supporting National Laboratories
  • Experience with Department of Defense Adaptive Acquisition Framework
  • Experience with DoD rapid innovation initiatives
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Master's degree in STEM-related fields, security studies, international affairs, or public policy


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
