JOB SUMMARY: REV Entertainment is looking for a General Manager of a new expansion franchise in the ECHL. The General Manager of the future team is responsible for the oversight and overall direction of the team. The GM is the team leader responsible for all business affairs, developing each team member, maximizing all team revenue, managing all team expenses, communicating regularly with REV Entertainment leadership, and the Club's ownership committee, and maintaining an exemplary relationship with local City officials.
The future franchise is expected to play its first season in Fall of 2026, with business operations commencing at the start of 2025. The General Manager will oversee the start up needs of the future team, including hiring, team branding, managing contracts, etc. The General Manager must have a strong background in business development, and experience generating revenue.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:
- Develop and implement sales strategy, including direct oversight of all revenue opportunities.
- Oversee the day to day operations of the Club and its arena.
- Meet with staff to determine goals for each department and individual.
- Lead the development of an annual budget and corresponding plan detailing the goals and objectives of each department for the Club.
- Work with supervisor to set the Club's goals and objectives.
- Weekly communication with supervisor regarding the status of all pertinent details.
- Manage the relationship with the venue, including overseeing the relationship between the team and its concessionaire.
Sales Planning & Management
- Accountable for business development, overseeing all aspects of ticket sales, sponsorship sales, event sales, and other revenue generating streams.
- The successful candidate will foster relationships with new, and prospective clients.
- Develop and implement a plan for generating corporate advertising and sponsorship revenue.
- Develop group ticket plan and pricing strategy.
- Develop a season ticket pricing plan and sales campaign that includes a benefits strategy that will be conveyed to the fan base.
Operations Planning & Management
- Build positive relationships with City officials to including, but not limited to: Mayor, City Council Members, City Manager, Finance Director, Director of Parks and Recreation, state legislators and other elected, and unelected public officials in the Club's home territory.
- Work with corporate staff to establish a staffing plan, develop/maintain job descriptions for each FT position, and hire all staff.
- Work with team(s) to develop a creative marketing campaign that includes print ads, television ads, radio ads, a vigorous website, and unique marketing tactics.
- Establish strong media relationships with local TV, radio, and newspaper employees and consummate agreements to drive ticket sales and add value to the corporate partners of the Club.
- Assist in the leadership of establishing a promotional calendar for the Club.
- Maintain ongoing leadership of game/event entertainment (music, p.a., video board, on-field promotions, special events) in the arena to deliver a consistently superior, innovative, and fresh approach.
- Manage the Club's brand by ensuring compliance with logo usage specifications for all merchandise used by the organization or approved usage by outside parties (e.g., corporate partners, group outings, etc.).
- Develop strong relationships with the leadership of local business organizations.
- Work with the Head Coach on all Hockey Operations procedures, including in the areas of travel, budget, payments, reimbursements, and player personnel issues.
- Manage the relationship between the Club and its primary vendors.
- Conduct annual performance reviews with each staff member.
- Establish and maintain a strong and positive relationship with the Club's full-time and game-day staff.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience working in sales with collegiate and/or professional sports team.
- Operational financial management accountability and budgeting experience required.
- Strong managerial skills required.
- Exceptional communication skills required.
- Strong commitment to customer and client service required.
- Contract experience preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner.
- Flexible hours, including, but not limited to, nights and weekends.
