What You'll Do:
- Provide a clean, safe, and healthy environment for members, guests, and co-workers.
- Every staff member, regardless of position, has a primary and urgent responsibility to clean and disinfect all club components as they are used by members and guests and yourself. Help retain and attain new members through club promotion and customer service excellence.
- As a team member manager, assist with the opening and closing of the club on a team rotational basis.
- Adhere to the Core Values and Core Purpose for the company
- Improve the overall service level of the facility. This is measured via a quantitative Customer Satisfaction Survey with daily customer feedback
- Oversee operations, programs, staff and revenue generation
- Increase the demand, usage, and net revenue capabilities of the facility
- Analyze and report on the quantitative and qualitative results of specific programs
- Manage program supplies, inventory, deposit and petty cash procedures for the location
- Nurture the sub-tenant relationships. You are the primary person responsible for their sublease renewal
- Lead and oversee staff training and development
- Establish specific individual goals for each department manager and tie them directly to their annual budget performance and their compensation
- Lead semi-annual all staff meetings for the purpose of reinforcing the annual goals, team building, informing staff of new programs, services and amenities, gathering staff ideas and training
- Lead regular meetings (typically weekly) with the facilities management team for the purposes of team building, implement strategy to accomplish the primary objectives and goals, and the implementation of your leadership through your vision for service
- Interview, hire and train candidates for positions throughout the facility
- Approve all location hires, employee status changes, promotions and/or compensation increases
- Conduct staff performance reviews on a 90-day, 6 month and annual basis
- Develop department and facility budgets and forecast revenue growth on a quarterly and/or yearly basis
- Implement the strategic plan and the approved annual budget for the facility
- Develop and present monthly information and financials to the company's Executive team
- Produce a monthly variance report that documents financial variations form the budgeted vs. actual income statement
- Work diligently on the marketing efforts of the facility, with a special emphasis on leading the Sales Manager
- Work diligently to train and develop staff to their full potential and to assist in keeping all positions full in order to meet the annual budgeted revenues, net income and customer retention goals
- Oversee and assist in facility upkeep, equipment maintenance, and the facility's general appearance to maintain quality standards
- Perform weekly and monthly facility inspections
- Meet regularly with facility owner for reporting purposes and mutual sharing of information
- Physical requirements include: walking and standing during the entire shift (often 4-8 hours), climbing stairs, kneeling, pushing, and pulling objects, lifting and moving objects (up to 50 lbs.) with or without reasonable accommodation.
Who You Are:
- Passion for leadership, health & fitness and customer service
- High-level verbal and written communication ability
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of previous management experience in the Fitness, Hospitality or similar industries with proven ability to manage to a P&L, both driving revenue and expense control
- Ability to delegate tasks, train, lead and motivate staff members in a variety of departments
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers in order to promote high levels of customer service and efficiency with facility staff
- Ability to multitask, demonstrate initiative and complete tasks assigned while adhering to deadlines
- Ability to work during "Closeout" (last 3 days of every month)
- Work Full-Time schedule that includes a minimum of three evening prime times per week and a minimum of three Saturdays per month.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Google Docs and email
- Must be able to bend, lift or stand for periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be detail-oriented and have a strong work ethic
- CPR/AED Certification
- Ability to walk up and down stairs and lift a minimum of 10 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
