Your responsibilities: As the General Manager, you will be responsible for working directly with the Director of Sales to maximize revenues in all outlets as well as strategically maximize profit. The General Manager provides leadership to the team and ensures customers have a memorable experience.
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Ensure all hotel associates lead from the heart when interacting with customers.
- Review ongoing training practices to ensure all associates are kept up to date on current policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional cohesive team by: hiring, training, coaching, counseling and developing the most qualified individuals.
- Promote positive morale and friendly attitudes.
- Monitor communication between departments to ensure a positive flow of information in a timely manner.
- Develops and executes aggressive long and short range financial objectives to meet and exceed budgeted sales goals and budgeted expense goals.
- Manage the F&B outlet to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Review on a daily/weekly basis all cost accounts for each area of the hotel.
- Work within budgeted guidelines for maximum revenues and within labor models
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained in accordance with service standards and that outages are reported and resolved in a timely manner.
- Complete administrative duties in a timely manner: schedules, payroll, inventories, orders, daily reports, accounting controls, etc.
- Communicate and document using internal means: Quore, Drive, email, Workvivo etc.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with the Associate Handbook, implement all the rules, policies and procedures established by the company; including, but not limited to, those contained in the Associate Handbook.
- Maintain certification for all required training pertaining to the hotel including Food, Beverage, CPR, and all training/ certification required by the City and State.
- Maintain involvement in the community from both business and charitable avenues.
What you Bring:
- Commitment to the company and the achievement of its purpose.
- The ability to effectively inspire others and engage associates and colleagues on difficult issues.
- Creative and Strategic skills
- Five Years' experience supervising (at least) 15 associates.
- Knowledgeable hotel professional with at least 2+ years experience in managing a select service property with a bar/restaurant'
- Marriott and or Hilton Brand Knowledge
- Growth Mindset, willingness to try new things, and see what works.
