SUMMARY:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and business activities at their agency. Duties for the general manager will include allocating budget resources, coordinating business operations, monitoring and motivating staff, managing operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administrative processes, engaging with vendors, hiring and training employees, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities. The role also requires adherence to company policies and mandatory laws/regulations (state, local, and federal/DOT).

Duties for the general manager will include allocating budget resources, coordinating business operations, monitoring and motivating staff, managing operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administrative processes, engaging with vendors, hiring and training employees, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities. The role also requires adherence to company policies and mandatory laws/regulations (state, local, and federal/DOT).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review financial statements to determine where improvements need to be made.
- Design and implement processes, procedures, and best practices to improve organizational profitability.
- Communicate important updates to staff.
- Serve as a strategic partner on the management team to help drive and achieve sustainable growth.
- Help cultivate sales growth and maintain strong Armstrong customer relationships.
- Oversee financial operations of the company to include, business forecasting, budgeting, cash management, accounts receivable/payable, financial statements, payroll, and bookkeeping.
- Oversee operational aspects of the company to include, purchasing, safety, driver/labor qualifications and management, and warehouse management.
- Employee management responsibilities include recruitment and onboarding, organizational structure, ICOA administration, hiring and termination, compensation, performance management, training, and disciplinary actions.
- All other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree is required. A master's degree in business administration is preferred.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in relocation or logistics, or an otherwise adjacent industry.
- Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of Financial Reporting and Planning, Customer Relationship Management, Sales, Human Resources, Warehousing, and Operational efficiencies.
- Proven communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills, including root cause analysis.
- Understanding of best practices in client services, ethics, and diversity & inclusion.
- Global and cultural awareness.
- Robust understanding of mandatory laws/regulations (state, local, federal, DOT).

COMPENSATION:
- $120k-$150k base salary + heavy incentive-based model.
