We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled General Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee all our commercial construction operations.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated General Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee our team of superintendents and manage all construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, with at least 10 years of experience as a commercial construction superintendent and at least 5 years of proven leadership in managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously.

As the General Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of all projects, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency, and providing leadership to a team of superintendents to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead and supervise a team of superintendents, ensuring efficient coordination and communication across all projects.
    • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to superintendents, promoting professional development and accountability.
    • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment and ensure all teams work towards achieving company goals.
  • Project Oversight:
    • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of multiple commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
    • Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, local codes, and quality control procedures.
    • Maintain continuous communication with clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address project issues and resolve conflicts.
  • Quality and Safety:
    • Enforce safety protocols and ensure a zero-incident safety record across all job sites.
    • Monitor the quality of construction work to ensure it meets company and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to assess progress, quality, safety, and any potential issues that may arise.
  • Resource Management:
    • Coordinate with project managers and other departments to ensure all necessary resources (materials, labor, equipment) are available and managed efficiently.
    • Ensure that construction schedules are adhered to and adjust plans as necessary to mitigate risks and delays.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:
    • Identify and resolve any issues that arise during construction, including delays, cost overruns, and disputes with subcontractors or vendors.
    • Provide timely and effective solutions to challenges that may impact project timelines or outcomes.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring that project deliverables meet or exceed their expectations.
    • Provide regular progress updates and collaborate with clients to ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • At least 10 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial projects.
    • At least 5 years of leadership experience in a construction management or superintendent role, overseeing multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Extensive knowledge of construction processes, project management, and safety standards.
    • Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
    • In-depth understanding of building codes, regulations, and quality control procedures.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Education and Certifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
    • OSHA 30-Hour certification.
