Environmental Consulting & Technology (ECT) is seeking a Geophysicist/Geologist that will play a pivotal role in our environmental consulting team, overseeing geophysical investigations and projects. This individual will be responsible for scoping, planning, and executing geophysical fieldwork, as well as delivering high-quality data analysis and interpretation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in geophysics and geology, coupled with practical experience in environmental consulting.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the scope, budget, and schedule of geophysical projects
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors
  • Ensure timely delivery of project deliverables
  • Develop geophysical survey designs and protocols
  • Select appropriate geophysical methods based on project objectives
  • Supervise and participate in field data acquisition activities
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Process and analyze geophysical data using specialized software
  • Interpret geophysical results to identify subsurface features and anomalies
  • Prepare clear and concise technical reports and presentations
  • Collaborate with other team members to integrate geophysical data with geological, hydrological, and environmental information
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and regulatory agencies
  • Communicate project progress and findings effectively
  • Address client questions and concerns in a professional manner
  • Contribute to proposal development and client presentations
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the firm's geophysical services
  • Support other environmental needs, including Phase II assessments, remediation tasks, etc.

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geophysics or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of geophysical methods, including seismic, electrical resistivity, and electromagnetic surveys.
  • Proficiency in geophysical data processing and analysis software (e.g., GeoStudio, ReflexW).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fieldwork experience, including the ability to work in challenging environments.

Job Essentials:
  • Valid Driver's license with clean driving record
  • Must be self-motivated with sound professional judgement; able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and independently with little direct supervision
  • Primary duties are located within an office or remote office environment with occasional to frequent fieldwork
  • Attention to detail, excellent verbal and technical written communication skills
  • Flexible and able to juggle multiple projects and changing priorities without missing deadlines or losing sight of project goals
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and desire to learn
