Geotechnical Engineer Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
- Good communication, problem solving and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Able to review and interpret project plans and specifications
- Able to execute and manage multiple office and field tasks
- Positive attitude with ability to work independently and in a team environment
Geotechnical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Perform and lead field investigations, engineering analyses, calculations, and provide engineering recommendations
- Develop proposals and cost estimates, track and evaluate project progress, budgets and recommend changes
- Prepare, review and evaluate laboratory or field reports
- Interact with clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and other team members to effectively complete projects while representing ATL
- Provide technical support to drillers and field staff
- Motivate and inspire team members to accomplish project goals
- Maintain safety and quality standards on assigned projects
