Responsibilities:
Salary : $96,138/year

Responsibilities:
- Analyze/design NYCDEP & NYCDDC geotechnical infrastructure projects according to design specifications/standards;
- Undertake advanced analysis & feasibility evaluations for shallow/deep foundations;
- Design/oversee construction of deep excavation support systems;
- Provide expertise in structural design of earth support systems, including retaining structures, embedded wall systems, braced excavations & sheet pile/soil nail walls using dedicated software;
- Utilize ground-improvement techniques to address foundation problems;
- Prepare/execute foundation rehabilitation programs as part of infrastructure enhancement initiatives;
- Oversee instrumentation monitoring & condition assessment programs for infrastructure;
- Install sensors for infrastructure monitoring & conduct data analysis;
- Produce pre-construction condition reports before commencement of construction activities.
- MS in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering
- Minimum 1-year experience on infrastructural design projects in NYC area
- Must be familiar with NYC DEC, DEP & DOT's design specifications, AASHTO & Federal Highway Administration standards
- Strong analytical skills in data & finite element programs
- Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D/Python/ArcGis
