Description
Otter Tail County is accepting applications for a GIS Analyst. The primary responsibility of the position will be in the area of Geographic Information Systems, however there may be opportunities for cross-training on other IT tasks.

This position is regularly scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30, with the potential for evening or weekend hours. The 2025 starting salary for this position is $69,534 annually, depending on qualifications, with career advancement to $116,438.

Description

GIS Analyst
- Provide technical support for GIS functions
- Serve as E-911 system administrator
- Plan, design, and create custom maps
- Provide GIS project design and maintenance
- Provide quality control and maintenance for GIS projects
- Train and instruct county employees in the use of GIS and office related software and hardware such as GPS units and data collectors
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of new GIS relates technologies, software, and hardware
- Draft, update and maintain metadata
- Provide Database Administration for GIS maps and Data Portal.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- May assist with duties and responsibilities as outlined in the County Emergency Operations Plan and Continuity of Operations Plan.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- One to three years technical experience
- Driver's license valid in Minnesota
