This role combines product management, GIS expertise, user-centric design, and cross-functional collaboration. You will lead the strategic vision, development, and ongoing enhancement of GIS-related products and services. You will collaborate with teams responsible for foundational geospatial datasets and assist in managing critical infrastructure assets.

You will lead the strategic vision, development, and ongoing enhancement of GIS-related products and services. You will collaborate with teams responsible for foundational geospatial datasets and assist in managing critical infrastructure assets.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience managing software, digital services, or data products, ideally in a public or civic technology context.
- Experience working with agile project management and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, with an empathetic and collaborative work style.
- Familiarity with tools like ArcGIS, PowerBI, Knack, Tableau, and open-source platforms is a plus.
- The ability to interpret and leverage large datasets to inform product and strategy decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing and delivering geospatial products or services, such as maps, spatial datasets, and GIS tools.
- Solid understanding of GIS principles, data structures, spatial analysis techniques, and geospatial formats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage key products, including mobility datasets, infrastructure tools, and mapping solutions for infrastructure and asset management teams.
- Lead geospatial product planning and strategy, aligning with user needs and organizational goals.
- Prioritize, scope, and manage GIS projects with the Geospatial team lead.
- Support digitization, optimize workflows, and improve data quality.
- Advocate for GIS data governance and standards to ensure interoperability.
- Analyze geospatial data to guide product decisions and enhancements.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver user-focused solutions in an agile environment.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, develop user stories, and ensure alignment with business and technical goals.
- Handle spatial data requests and deliver high-quality outputs.
- Translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and document progress.
- Gather user feedback to inform product roadmaps and MVP delivery.
- Proactively manage risks, scope changes, and recommend course corrections.
