We are seeking an experienced GIS Service Delivery Manager to lead delivery management, client engagement, and business growth initiatives for a key utility sector client. This role requires expertise in GIS solutions, IT service delivery, stakeholder management, and new business development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing GIS project execution, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction while identifying opportunities for expanding GIS services, including Utility Network Management (UnM) solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Project Management:
Oversee end-to-end GIS service delivery, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards.
Lead project planning, execution, and governance for GIS initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with utility operations.
Manage multi-functional teams, including GIS development, integration, and support teams.
Implement ITIL-based service management practices for incident, problem, and change management in GIS environments.
Ensure compliance with utility industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements for GIS solutions.
Identify and drive continuous service improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Monitor and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution and proactive management.
Collaborate with internal teams, offshore delivery units, and third-party vendors for seamless service execution.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for GIS service delivery, managing relationships with senior client stakeholders.
Conduct regular governance meetings, service reviews, and performance reporting with key decision-makers.
Translate business requirements into GIS solutions, aligning GIS services with strategic client objectives.
Work closely with GIS architects, business analysts, and technology teams to improve service offerings and solutions.
Drive customer satisfaction initiatives, ensuring high engagement and trust with client stakeholders.
Business Growth & UnM Expansion:
Identify and develop new business opportunities, with a focus on expanding Utility Network Management (UnM) solutions.
Support pre-sales, proposal development, and solution presentations to grow GIS service offerings.
Work with account and business development teams to drive contract renewals, scope expansions, and revenue growth.
Explore emerging GIS technologies, cloud-based GIS solutions, and AI-driven geospatial applications to enhance service portfolios.
Foster innovation by identifying automation, predictive analytics, and geospatial intelligence opportunities for utilities.
Develop strategic plans to position UnM solutions as a core offering for utility clients.
Generic Managerial Skills, If any
Strong team leadership and people management skills with the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for engaging with senior executives and key stakeholders.
Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for GIS projects.
Expertise in conflict resolution, risk mitigation, and problem-solving within large-scale IT service engagements.
Ability to manage vendor relationships, contracts, and third-party service providers for GIS solutions.
Experience in strategic planning and execution to drive business growth and service improvements.
Salary Range: $140,000-$180,000 a year
