Audubon is currently seeking a Global Data Manager to join our team in our Houston, TX Office. The Global Data Manager will lead and oversee the management, standardization, and associated workflows of engineering and design data across project execution throughout the Company ensuring effective data integration, quality, and compliance to support successful project delivery.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Optimizing data management systems and workflows to meet the demands of complex engineering and design projects within the consulting sector.
Project Execution and Delivery
- 1. Data-Driven Project Leadership:
- a. Define and implement global data strategies for managing engineering and design project data.
- b. Ensure that data workflows align with project milestones, budgets, and client expectations.
- c. Drive the adoption of best practices in engineering data management to enhance project execution and delivery.
- d. Lead/initiate associated training to key stakeholders.
- e. Support and promote interoperability between legacy and emerging technologies.
- 2. Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration:
- a. Act as the data liaison between engineering, design, and project delivery teams.
- b. Work with discipline leads to define and maintain data standards and processes across multiple projects and regions.
- c. Coordinate with IT and technology teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering and software tools.
- 3. Quality Control and Compliance:
- a. Develop and oversee data quality control processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with global engineering standards and regulations.
- b. Ensure adherence to industry-specific regulations, such as ISO standards, and internal governance protocols.
- 4. Stakeholder Management:
- a. Engage with internal stakeholders, clients, and partners to identify data requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
- b. Prepare and deliver comprehensive data management reports, project updates, and insights to senior leadership and external clients.
Technical Oversight
- 1. Engineering Data Systems:
- Collaborate with the other teams (technology and software development) as it relates to the design, development, and optimization of data workflows related to engineering software (e.g.COMOS, SP&ID, SI, SEL, S3D, SC).
- Ensure interoperability between engineering tools and enterprise systems, such as ERP or project management platforms.
- 2. Advanced Analytics and Reporting:
- Leverage analytics tools to monitor project performance, forecast risks, and provide actionable insights to project teams.
- Lead the implementation of digital twins and other advanced data solutions in engineering workflows.
- Understand, leverage and support implementation of AI/ML tools to support execution and engineering workflows.
Continuous Improvement
- 1. Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering and design data workflows, reducing inefficiencies and enhancing quality.
- Standardize global data management practices and establish KPIs to track performance.
- 2. Change Management:
- Support change-management efforts of the company to ensure successful adoption of new tools, processes, and systems across diverse teams and regions.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Required Skillsets
- Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of engineering and design software tools (e.g., Autodesk BIM 360, AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Bentley Systems, ArcGIS, COMOS, SP&ID, SI, SEL, S3D, SC)).
- Expertise in data management tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, ETL tools, cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project, Jira).
- Familiarity with advanced analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security within the engineering sector.
- Deep expertise in engineering data workflows, project management, and data technologies to drive efficiency, innovation, and collaboration across multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Project and Leadership Skills
- Experience managing large, complex, and multidisciplinary engineering projects across global teams.
- Expertise in Agile, Lean, or similar project delivery methodologies.
- Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams and engage with senior stakeholders.
- Utilization Target: 50%.
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Data Science, or a related field (preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in engineering data management or a senior data leadership role within the consulting or engineering sector.
- Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale engineering projects with significant data management components.
- Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or data management (e.g., CDMP) are advantageous.
