About This Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Global Logistics Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will lead a team of Traffic Coordination Specialists and Analysts, manage work packages, and oversee freight forwarder and carrier contracts and performance. This role requires a strong background in ground and sea shipments, tariff management, import/export documentation, and a deep understanding of customs and international import/export regulations. The team is responsible for all finished product exportation and transportation to end customers around the world.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Global Logistics Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will lead a team of Traffic Coordination Specialists and Analysts, manage work packages, and oversee freight forwarder and carrier contracts and performance. This role requires a strong background in ground and sea shipments, tariff management, import/export documentation, and a deep understanding of customs and international import/export regulations. The team is responsible for all finished product exportation and transportation to end customers around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Traffic Coordination Specialists and Analysts.
- Act as a Work Package Manager, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of logistics projects in time and in respect of allocated budget.
- Oversee and manage freight forwarder and carrier contracts, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all customs and international import/export regulations.
- Manage tariff classification and ensure accurate import/export documentation.
- Coordinate and oversee ground and sea shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize transportation and distribution processes.
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics management, with a strong background in ground and sea shipments.
- In-depth knowledge of customs and international import/export regulations.
- Proven experience in managing freight forwarder and carrier contracts.
- Strong understanding of tariff classification and import/export documentation.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Professional certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) ( an asset).
