The Position

The Global Medical Strategy Lead will report to the Head, Medical Affairs and Outcomes Research (MAOR). The role is responsible for leading the Global Directors of Medical Affairs (GDMAs) and Regional Directors of Medical Affairs (RDMAs) across therapeutic franchises, and will work closely with the US Medical Affairs Lead, Global Medical Affairs Lead and the MAOR Chief of Staff to develop and track robust Global Medical Affairs medical strategies across Organon's portfolio of pipeline and marketed products.

Responsibilities
  • Represent Global Medical Strategy team on the MAOR Leadership team.
  • Oversee the Global Directors of Medical Affairs (GDMAs) and Regional Directors of Medical Affairs (RDMAs) across therapeutic franchises, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Lead the development of Global Medical Affairs Plans (GMAPs), in coordination with the US Medical Affairs Lead and Global Medical Affairs Lead.
  • Work closely with the Head, Outcome Research on strategies to support product initiatives and identify real-world data generation needs.
  • Oversee publication planning and medical writing (congress abstracts, posters and presentations, and manuscripts) activities across TAs.
  • Establish appropriate strategic partnerships with internal leaders in commercial, managed markets, clinical development, regulatory affairs, legal, compliance, safety, etc.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within Medical Affairs to optimize simplicity, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support business development needs, as needed.
  • Support the MAOR Chief of Staff in defining KPIs/metrics and tracking of projects to demonstrate MAOR organizational impact and identification of potential risks.


Required Education, Experience and Skills
  • Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) is required.
  • Minimum seven years' (for Executive Director) or ten years' (for Associate Vice President) experience in an industry setting.
  • Plan and execute medical strategies.
  • Deliver high-quality results within established timelines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, internal drive to generate high-quality work, and sense of passion and urgency to achieve team and program goals.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills commensurate with the need to work closely with investigators, consultants, and team members across functions globally.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to meet the needs of varied audiences.
  • Integrated understanding of FDA, EMA, ICH, and GCP guidelines.

$248,400.00 - $422,300.00
