As a rapidly growing company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Sourcing Executive to lead and optimize our global procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will ensure supplier quality and maintain a robust supply chain operations while supporting the company's strategic goals.
The Global Sourcing Executive seeks out, establishes, and develops relationships with international and domestic manufacturing suppliers; oversees the global procurement of materials, products or services and manages the supply risk.
This position will be based out of our Itasca, Illinois facility, and will require the ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing global sourcing strategies that align with business objectives.
Identifies, evaluates, and onboards international suppliers and vendors to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
Negotiates contracts and manages supplier relationships to ensure compliance, performance, and sustainability standards.
Analyzes market trends, risks, and opportunities to drive competitive advantage.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including operations, product development, and leadership to meet sourcing needs.
Monitors and manages key performance indicators related to procurement, supplier performance, and cost savings.
Mitigates supply chain risks by developing contingency plans and alternative sourcing options.
Stays updated on global trade regulations, tariffs, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field, and 5+ years of experience in global sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Proven ability to manage supplier relationships across diverse regions and cultures.
Proficiency in procurement and supply chain management tools/software.
Knowledge of international trade regulations and global market dynamics.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced and every changing environment.
Experience working in the metal manufacturing industry.
