Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Global Trade Management (GTM)- Import Lead.If a candidate is located within a 50 mile radius of Beachwood, OH this position will be a hybrid role. Remote work will be considered if candidate is not located within 50 mile radius of Beachwood, OH. This position will require up to 10% travel.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled GTM expert on imports to join our Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) business unit and Eaton US GTM Imports team. This role focuses on continuous improvement, cost savings, customs broker management, and import compliance management, including risk mitigation with our customs brokerage partners. The ideal candidate will possess thorough and current knowledge of international trade laws and regulations, with an emphasis on free trade, special tariffs, duty deferral programs, and trade cost optimization programs. This position is crucial for executing corporate strategies to minimize customs duty and trade costs, ensuring accurate import information, and maintaining compliance through analysis and oversight of duty optimization programs. Additionally, the role involves leading business process improvements and projects, overseeing centralized broker management, CTPAT Trade Compliance activities, and handling government filings as required.
What you'll do:
Provide GTM US import governance to designated Eaton businesses as defined by GTM manager
Evaluate Eaton businesses operation's compliance status with various regulatory bodies including Customs, and applicable tax authorities.
Communicate trade compliance related policy, procedures, and economic issues that affect Group operations.
Direct and standardize GTM import training, advice and guidance to other areas throughout the enterprise as necessary.
Provide analytical and tactical support to implement import processes and procedures for Eaton businesses operations initiatives and projects.
Engage with Eaton business operations on cost and compliance initiatives that affect GTM and where trade matters may impact strategy.
Provide regular reports to Corporate GTM and Eaton businesses on the status of their GTM projects, current initiatives, and outstanding GTM matters.
Maintain locations database for GTM Coordinators and related contacts in the GTM MLDB database for the Eaton businesses designated by GTM manager.
Execute import operation activities as defined by GTM manager:
Includes but not limited to assisting or leading projects to mitigate risk, improve trade cost or improve import velocity.
Provide leadership to organizational Continuous Improvement (CI) process and standardization of work.
Lead US Import CI projects:
Develop and direct team's process improvement methodologies and framework related to GTM imports.
Lead and support US import CI initiatives to enhance business excellence across GTM functions:
Identify, facilitate, and manage execution of improvement projects fulfilling key breakthrough objectives.
Develop reporting and publish progress of CI and related projects.
Own or provide leadership to others for projects from beginning to end - including discovery, data collection, development with feedback, implementation, and follow up.
Lead development and maintenance of standard US import procedures; develop R-A-C-I standards and direct engagement of stakeholders for their roles / responsibilities in import processes.
Provide leadership in creating and standardizing GTM import training material as needed by Eaton business functions.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree, LCB (Licensed Customs House Broker) OR CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) from an accredited institution required.
Minimum 5 years import trade management & trade regulations experience required.
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

Strong writing, speaking, & presenting skills at multiple levels of the organization and diverse audiences to influence & drive results
HTS & FTA knowledge.

In depth knowledge of customs brokerage and procedures.
Position Criteria:
Ability to manage projects and programs to develop and deploy solutions to complex issues.
Proven ability to develop and deploy process improvements.
Ability to function as an expert within a specialized GTM discipline across Sectors.
Must have the ability to work unsupervised with decision making authority.
