Required Background:

A Bachelor's degree in a field such as Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, or similar.
A minimum of 5 years' direct experience integrating UAV flight controllers and developing UAV-related software.
Proficient in working within indoor environments that are clean, well-lit, and ventilated, with some exposure to moderate physical risks.
Prior experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms, including CUDA programming and the DeepStream SDK.
Strong understanding of AI-powered perception systems, real-time SLAM solutions, and real-time data processing using Jetson hardware.
Proven ability to design guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems for drone operations in areas without GPS coverage.
In-depth knowledge of PX4, ArduPilot, MAVLink, ROS, Python, and C++.
Skilled in tuning flight dynamics, calibrating onboard sensors, and implementing autonomous control systems.
Familiar with communication protocols for wireless links and streaming real-time video and telemetry data.
Capable of performing light physical tasks, such as sitting or standing for extended periods and lifting objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
U.S. citizenship required, along with eligibility to obtain and retain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.

Preferred Experience:

A Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Over 10 years of practical experience in UAV flight system integration and both hardware and software development for drones.
Advanced proficiency with Ubuntu or similar Linux-based operating systems.
Familiarity with real-time systems and AI acceleration using FPGAs.
Experience with UAV mission planning tools such as Ground Control and Mission Planner, as well as validation/testing processes.
Proficient in using hardware diagnostic tools, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
Possession of an active DoD Top Secret clearance is highly desirable
