This is a hybrid position. Support is required at Colorado facility onsite 2 days per week. Remote maybe considered for exceptionally qualified candidates located in CO, NM, TX, FL, AL, VA, MA
Aegis Aerospace is currently looking for a GNCP FSW Verifications Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO or Houston, TX.
This position is expected to pay between $90,000.00- 120,000.00 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications directly related to this role.
Job Description:
The GNCP FSW Verification role requires candidates to perform detailed software unit testing as directed by the Lockheed Martin technical Point of Contact (POC). This position will primarily focus on verifying flight software for the GNCP system, ensuring it aligns with the program's technical specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Python and software testing, with an emphasis on GNCP-related systems. Candidates should also be familiar with Matlab/Simulink, and a CS background is beneficial. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, focusing on attention to detail and high-quality output, will be critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities
- Perform unit testing on GNCP flight software, ensuring all components meet Lockheed Martin's quality and functionality standards.
- Analyze and report software defects, ensuring they are properly documented and communicated to the development team.
- Collaborate with the Lockheed Martin technical POC to support software validation and verification activities.
- Execute test procedures in a controlled environment, providing feedback and results to stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the software development lifecycle, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or 5 years equivalent experience/combined education.
- 2+ years of related professional experience outside of academia.
- Proficiency in Python for software testing and verification.
- Experience in software testing, including test design, test execution, and reporting.
- Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink for simulation-based testing.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have US Citizenship.
- Motivated self-starter willing to take initiative.
- Ability to attain and maintain respect and confidence of the customer and contract personnel. A close, cooperative customer interface is essential.
- Mature, professional judgment in establishing objectives, milestones and priorities.
- Reliable and dependable work habits and dedication to get the job done.
DESIRED:
- Master's degree in related discipline
- Experience working on government contracts.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
