Global Consolidations Accounting Manager

The Group Consolidations Accounting Manager will be responsible for the overall enterprise consolidation process and review of inter-company transactions and profit eliminations, corporate consolidations. The Group Consolidations Accounting Manager will coordinate, manage and support monthly consolidation close activities for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness and drive process improvements and efficiencies while ensuring the integrity of the process and data. This position partners with the entire corporate accounting team, finance, and business units to support the consolidations and internal/external reporting processes. Job duties to include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consolidated Financial Statement Preparation: Review consolidated financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, equity statements, and cash flow statements) in accordance with relevant accounting standards (GAAP).
  • Intercompany Eliminations: Identify and eliminate intercompany transactions and balances to ensure accurate consolidation.
  • Foreign Currency Translation: Manage and review foreign currency translation adjustments (CTA) to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Consolidation Process Management: Oversee and improve the consolidation process, including data collection, reconciliation, and validation. Takes ownership of the Company's Group Consolidations and accounting process and policy manual.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Provide analysis of consolidated financial data, identify potential issues, and prepare reports for management and external auditors.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, SEC reporting requirements, and internal policies. Responsible for ensuring that new accounting pronouncements are appropriately applied by the various entities within the company.
  • Collaboration: Work with other accounting teams, business units, and external auditors to facilitate the consolidation process.
  • System Management: Maintain and improve consolidation systems and tools, including IBM Cognos/TM1 and other ERP systems. Participates in the development of software applications/processes implemented for both the business and accounting functions.
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of consolidation accountants.


Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting. Master's degree or CPA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and consolidation, with experience in a supervisory role and Big-4 accounting firms, a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards (GAAP).
    • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Knowledge of relevant accounting software and consolidation tools.
    • Fluent in Mandaring a plus
