The role: The Pre-Licensure/Undergraduate Program Clinical Manager coordinates clinical placements and oversees the administrative and operational aspects of clinical education for pre-licensure/undergraduate nursing students. This role ensures that students are placed in high-quality, compliant clinical environments that support their academic and professional development.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Administration and leadership (100%)
  • Plan, organize, and manage clinical placements for Pre-licensure/Undergraduate nursing students, including RN to BSN students, in collaboration with faculty.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with clinical partners to secure placement opportunities and maintain strong relationships.
  • Oversee and enforce student compliance with clinical requirements, such as immunizations, background checks, and certifications.
  • Collaborate with faculty to align clinical experiences with course objectives and program outcomes.
  • Provide support to students, faculty, and preceptors during clinical rotations, addressing issues or concerns as they arise.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate the quality of clinical placements and ensure alignment with program standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of clinical site agreements, student placements, and evaluation data.
  • Facilitate orientation sessions for students and faculty to prepare them for clinical experiences.
  • Supervise and provide leadership to Clinical Coordination Team members, ensuring effective oversight of clinical operations.


Minimum qualifications and requirements

Education and experience:
  • Registered Nurse (RN), eligible for licensure in California, preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or other related field, Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical coordination, nursing education, clinical coordination, or healthcare administration.


Skills:
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of Pre-licensure/Undergraduate nursing education requirements and Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation standards as well as state boards of nursing and other regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent customer relations.


Abilities:
  • Ability to function effectively as an academic leader, member of a team, and independently.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to read and write clear documents.
  • Hand and finger dexterity for computer, text, calculator, copy machine, and telephone use.
  • Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word in person or on the telephone.

Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location, and other relevant skills.
