Clinical Research Grants Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Research Grant Specialist to support a growing portfolio. This role involves managing awarded grants, conducting financial reporting, setting up grants and reports, and assisting with progress reports. The specialist will meet with investigators regularly to review their portfolios and ensure all grant-related activities are completed timely and accurately.
Responsibilities
  • Manage awarded grants, including financial reporting and progress reports.
  • Assist with grant submissions and applications, ensuring timely completion.
  • Set up grants and reports, and manage the financial aspects of awarded grants.
  • Meet with investigators to review grant portfolios, discuss financial status, and assist with progress reporting.
  • Conduct monthly check-ins with principal investigators (PIs) to assess overall portfolio status.
  • Prioritize submission deadlines, particularly for NIH deadlines occurring four times a year.
  • Act as a liaison for investigators, facilitating communication and support.
  • Work with investigators to submit new applications, ensuring all financial and administrative requirements are met.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pre- and post-research grant management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of federal and major funding agency guidelines.
  • Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
  • Familiarity with sponsor submission portals such as grants.gov.
  • Strong financial management skills, particularly in grant accounting.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple investigators.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $53.00/hr.
