What You'll Do
The role for Group Director, Programmatic seeks a savvy media professional adept at managing client expectations and need while also overseeing a portfolio of activation responsibilities from top to bottom with consistent structure and process excellence across the board. This person is a strong problem solver who can work through any issues that are escalated, while also being adroit at seeing things early on so as to not have them become escalated issues in the first place. The candidate as an aperture to functioning parts that allows for programmatic to plug in seamlessly with the way that the rest of the media planning and buying process occurs at Horizon.

Salary Range
$170,000.00 - $195,000.00
A successful applicant's actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual's skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role. Main Duties and Responsibilities
60% Thought Leadership
- Inspiring direction setter: Steers all client deliverables and material with a level of macro business strategy aptitude married to subject matter expertise that allows for breakthrough grounding of ideas and recommendations.
- Main escalation point for all escalation worthy items on portfolio of business. Recognize every opportunity to dimensionalize a client question or line of inquiry into an organized perspective that shows comprehensive understanding and connection to a client's business.
- Delights in delighting: Constantly attuned to ways to surprise and delight clients with knowledge shares and ideas about their business through the lens of programmatic topics
- Big picture thinker: Can codify and role model big picture strategic thinking into tactical planning frameworks for the team to run with.
- The Buck Stops here: Main escalation point for all escalation worthy items on portfolio of business.
- Monthly pulse checks: Establishes and administers a process for QA checks on a monthly portfolio level, inclusive of confirming all is right with client billing profiles and actuals delivery.
- The doctor is in: Manages temperature of health of accounts, across client contacts and all internal stakeholders
- Always seeking improvement: Coordinate and maintain intra-Horizon integration opportunities.
- Continuous evaluation of the structure and content for ongoing training and skill development for the team.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain critical relationships to ensure clients experience the full potential of Horizon's offerings and reach in the ecosystem.
- Assist with identification, outreach, and positioning for new business targets. Participates in new business.
- Thought leader to industry publications and conference speaking opportunities.
- Finger on the pulse: Monitors team bandwidth and optimizes workload as necessary.
- Eagle eye: See across the entire process to identify spots to step in and mitigate risk. Ensure a positive working relationship with your team and DAT, BST, analytics, and client.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will directly supervise Director/Associate Director level individuals, focusing on talent development and the future organizational design for a cutting-edge operation.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Significant and demonstrated experience in programmatic media, including managing capabilities and shaping service area design.
- 10+ years of related work experience in programmatic media roles (Agency, Publisher, Ad Tech, Networks, etc.).
- Strong client-facing voice and experience being a client and team lead.
- Ability to quickly learn new services and dashboards and train staff on new ad product offerings.
- Ability to educate and explain the role of Programmatic in service of client's business objectives.
- An affinity for data and the technical aspects of the operation.
- Direct hands-on experience in online advertising environments preferred.
- Experience in operations and operational strategy preferred.
