T&M Associates is looking for a Group Manager to lead our Professional Construction Management Team in New Jersey. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a talented team of project and construction managers, drive excellence across projects, and contribute to the continued success and expansion of T&M Associates. Applicants should anticipate a hybrid work arrangement, combining site and remote work with in-person team collaboration.

In this role, you will be the driving force behind the leadership and growth of our construction management team, with the following responsibilities:
  • Leading and mentoring a high-performing team of project and construction managers across the Northeast region, focusing on counties like Ocean, Essex, Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Sussex, and Warren in New Jersey. Project locations can vary dependent on project wins.
  • Taking ownership of project direction, ensuring that technical workloads are managed effectively, client relationships remain strong, and projects meet quality, budget, and timeline objectives.
  • Navigating challenges, resolving issues, and making informed decisions to keep projects on track.
  • Providing day-to-day supervision and guidance, fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging team culture.
  • Promoting business development by leveraging existing client relationships and sourcing new opportunities to drive company growth.
  • Maintaining a strong community presence through involvement in professional organizations, volunteer opportunities, and networking events.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Certification as a Construction Manager (CCM) is preferred.
  • Extensive Experience in overseeing all phases of vertical construction projects, particularly in public and private sectors, with direct experience as an Owner's Representative/Agency Construction Manager.
  • A solid understanding of project risk factors and proven strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Experience in a supervisory role, with a demonstrated ability to motivate, guide, and develop a team of professionals at various experience levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly exchange ideas, feedback, and project information.
  • Proven capability to manage project timelines and budgets while ensuring optimal use of resources.
  • Strong track record of managing client relationships, resolving issues, and delivering exceptional service to both new and long-standing clients.
