Job Summary
- The Global Technology PMO team is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee technical projects and provide strategic business management.
- This is an opportunity to be part of a team committed to DRIVE success and transformation.
- The candidate will identify and execute ways to incorporate strategic guidance to the team.
- Best practices, methodology, participation in project governance, and collaboration with other departments and stakeholders are expected.
- This position is 40+ hours a week, with standard hours of 8am - 5pm daily, time zone based on hiring location/managers discretion.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the enterprise-level/key strategic project management initiatives from Initiation through Closure.
- Build out a schedule that addresses all key project areas (tasks, resources, dependencies, estimates) while challenging common assumptions to deliver quality on time, within budget, and within scope.
- Able to identify when adjustments are needed to a project's triple constraints (scope, cost, time) regardless of the PM methodology (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) deployed.
- Identify risk/risks mitigation plan(s) and capture issues/plan, drive all necessary follow-through to minimize risks, and remove blockers.
- Leverage project documentation and lessons learned for future efforts.
- Provide thought leadership and advance the project management profession while continuing to grow in the knowledge of project management methodologies and leading practices.
- Develop and coach project team members so they understand what they are accountable for delivering and feel empowered to make the necessary decisions to deliver; provide adequate direction and support.
- Engage business stakeholders to apply PM principles to achieve their objectives and business drivers.
- Leverage organizational dynamics to influence outcomes through leadership and communication skills.
- Engage appropriate stakeholders in risk identification and mitigation strategies.
Job Requirements
- Provide strategic guidance to the team, identifying opportunities to improve and innovate.
- Apply project management best practices and methodologies, ensuring that the project team is following established standards.
- Participate in project governance and oversight activities, including a persistent focus on RAIDD items, to ensure projects are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that projects are integrated and aligned with overall business strategies
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer or Information Science
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Supply Chain +
- PMP Certification +
- ScrumMaster Certification +
- 8 to 10+ years of experience, with a proven history of scheduling, managing, leading, and delivering projects from inception to close; demonstrated ability to identify and motivate resources, with the right skillset, to deliver the project scope.
