Job Responsibilities

  • Experience in GW Personal lines implementation on cloud Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans to ensure full test coverage across functional performance regression and security testing. Define testing objectives and key success metrics. Establish and enforce test processes and methodologies throughout the SDLC. Coordinate with other departments to align testing with overall project timelines.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers and testers. Provide training performance evaluations and career development for test team members. Foster a collaborative and proactive team environment to encourage continuous improvement in testing processes.
  • Test Execution and Quality Assurance: Ensure all tests are executed including functional regression integration and user acceptance testing (UAT). Monitor the progress of testing efforts providing regular updates to project managers and stakeholders. Report on the status of testing activities ensuring defects is documented and prioritized accordingly. Ensure defect resolution and retesting of fixes in a timely manner.
  • Automation and Tools Management: Oversee the selection and implementation of test automation tools. Promote automation wherever applicable to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Communicate test progress risks and results to stakeholders including project managers and product owners. Work closely with development and product teams to understand requirements and make suggestions to improve testability. Coordinate the testing of software releases ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines.
  • Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Identify and mitigate risks and testing roadblocks early in the project lifecycle. Track defects from detection to resolution providing full visibility into defect trends and blockers. Develop a proactive approach for addressing key testing risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate current testing processes and tools recommending improvements and optimizations. Lead post-mortem and retrospective reviews leveraging feedback to improve future test efforts. Stay up to date on the latest testing techniques industry trends and best practices.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test reports including test cases test scripts results and defects. Document lessons learned and maintained a repository of best practices for future reference. Provide final test reports and dashboards to key stakeholders outlining the overall quality and stability of the application.
Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions/applications.1. Applies scientific methods to analyse and solve software engineering problems.2. He/she is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance.3. His/her work requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers.4. The software engineer builds skills and expertise of his/her software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities.5. The software engineer collaborates and acts as team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.
