SUMMARY OF WORKING AS A HAMMITT SCHOOL PRINCIPAL:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED AS OUR NEXT PRINCIPAL OF HAMMITT SCHOOLS ON WILLOW:
Licensure within the State of Illinois requirements as a special education school administrator. Minimum of General Administrative or Principal Licensure with Licensure as a Special Education Teacher preferred. Knowledge of and skill in applying behavioral approaches to working with adolescents. Demonstrated competence in effective teaching methods and procedures for use with adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral disabilities. Demonstrated ability to administer the total academic treatment program from within an interdisciplinary team structure. A demonstrated and consistent history of planning, developing, implementing and improving programs and people to meaningfully, measurably and positively impact departmental results.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF HAMMITT SCHOOL PRINCIPAL:
Program Management: Provides leadership in the development and implementation of the Hammitt Schools program; develops and revises procedures as needed; leads the development of curriculum, coordinates building and state assessment, serves as liaison with referral and funding sources; compiles outcome measures for Hammitt Schools; coordinates and collaborates with other agency program areas; ensures compliance with relevant standards developed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, the Illinois State Board of Education, and the Illinois Department of Human Services. Personnel Management: Employs, trains, supervises and evaluates staff within Hammitt School locations to ensure that The Baby Fold's standards are met for delivery of services to clients. Provides support and performance feedback, including timely completion performance evaluations. Fiscal Management: Develops and administers the annual budget for their designated school locations. Ensures that all expenditures related to Hammitt School are within the approved budget for the program. Professional Leadership: Contributes to the school administration team, offering insights and input on decision-making processes. Provides strategic input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization. Represents The Baby Fold in business contacts with professionals and the public outside the agency. Inter-Agency Service Coordination: Directs the development and implementation of multiple sites. Develops an integrated communication plan with agency staff and direct reports to coordinate technology, maintenance, and food service.

SUMMARY OF WORKING AS A HAMMITT SCHOOL PRINCIPAL:
- The HAMMITT SCHOOL PRINCIPAL is responsible for the supervision of personnel and the day-to-day operations of Hammitt Schools in building locations. Demonstrates an ability to apply trauma-informed principles and integrates them into daily practice. Communicates effectively and promotes collaborative problem solving by demonstrating care and respect in considering the diverse experiences and perspectives of others.
- WORK LOCATION: Hammitt School, 108 E. Willow Street, Normal, IL
- WORK HOURS: Full-time, exempt, Mon- Fri, 37.5 hrs per week
- PAY: $90,000-110,000 salary/exempt, negotiable for highly qualified candidates based on experience, certification, and education.
