Position Overview:

We are seeking a Hardware Architect to join our team and collaborate directly with the BOM Manager, the Architecture Review Board (ARB), and the Hardware Site Engineering Control Board (HSECB). The selected applicant will be responsible for supporting hardware and software selection, maintaining and coordinating Bill of Material (BOM) changes, and working closely with task order management and customer representatives. As an architect, you will ensure that a common hardware and software specification is used across all task orders on the program. This role will also involve the preparation of BOMs for proposal pricing and ongoing hardware and software evaluations to plan for End of Service (EOS)/End of Life (EOL) and future evolution roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and Hardware Site Engineering Control Board (HSECB) to ensure proper hardware and software selection for the program.
  • Compile, maintain, and coordinate Bill of Material (BOM) changes with Task Order Management and customer representatives.
  • Support hardware and software evaluation and selection, ensuring the specification of common hardware across all program task orders.
  • Assist in the preparation of BOM for proposal pricing and provide recommendations for future hardware and software evolution, including EOS/EOL planning.
  • Ensure the selection of hardware and network devices aligns with the program's requirements and procurement processes.
  • Work closely with engineering staff across functional areas to support seamless integration of hardware solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Expert in hardware architecture with 12+ years of experience and an advanced degree, or 14+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in hardware architecture design and implementation.
  • Ability to define and identify a hardware baseline for program consistency.
  • Deep understanding of hardware and network device selection to meet program requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes related to hardware and software selection.
  • Experience working with Private On-Prem Cloud systems, including VMware, HP, Dell, and other COTS products.
  • Secret Clearance required.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in identifying and defining a desired hardware baseline and establishing integration practices and methods.
  • Understanding and appreciation of information assurance, maintenance, operation, and logistics concerns, and their application to the design, development, and lifecycle phases of the program.
  • Familiarity with the application and use of hardware, operating systems, and infrastructure in a Private On-Prem Cloud design environment.

Salary Transparency: 140-147k/year
