Description
Design, develop, and characterize prototype hardware for proof-of-concept and demo systems related to new and future product initiatives in the consumer electronics field. Investigate how various technologies interact with the human body, including but not limited to electromagnetic, optical, acoustical, and mechanical interactions. Architect and design multi-layer, high-density printed circuit boards, owning electrical, firmware, application development, and maintenance. Build and test fully functional prototype systems by integrating electrical, mechanical, and software components with minimal supervision. Support internal customers of circuit boards, firmware, software, and prototype systems. Design and 3D-print mechanical fixtures for circuit boards and prototype hardware. Lead multiple projects and manage cross-functional dependencies with partner teams. Produce and deliver demonstrations and documentation at a quality level suitable for senior executives. PCB design and development - create schematics and PCB layouts, own bring-up and debug. Implement firmware to communicate between multiple embedded devices using wired and wireless protocols. Domestic travel up to 10% required.
