Help Duties * You will provide a wide variety of tasks, including preparatory, rehabilitative and clean-up work within an environmental abatement/removal crew. * You will have knowledge required to identify and evaluate environmental requirements for the safe and compliant management of hazardous and industrial wastes. * You will be responsible for collecting packages, prepare for transport, storage, and disposal of hazardous and industrial wastes from various projects. * You will collect samples of hazardous chemicals from containers of hazardous waste and potential contaminants at field sites for laboratory analysis. * You will operate computer terminals to access databases for procedures, recording, and regulatory requirements and work management. 1) Assisting an environmental abatement/removal crew with preparatory, rehabilitative, and clean-up work; 2) Performs packaging and storage work such as making, labeling, packing, place carding, and recording of all containers in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Environmental Protection Agency regulations; 3) Operating computer terminals for procedures, recordings, and regulatory requirements; and 4) Performing duties such as containment, cleanup, and decontamination of land-bound hazardous spills as a member of the hazardous waste response team.
